1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to CICO ("App," "we," "our," or "us"). By downloading, installing, or using our mobile application, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.

2. Subscription Terms

2.1 Auto-Renewable Subscription Details

  • CICO Premium is an auto-renewable subscription service
  • Subscription includes:
    • Unlimited groups and custom seasons
    • Premade workout plans (Hyrox, Hercules, Push Pull Legs, Upper/Lower, Athletic, Endurance, Marathon, Full Body, Bodyweight & more)
    • Advanced progress analytics (Progress Trends)
    • Calorie tracking tools
    • Unlimited AI meal scans, subject to fair-use and abuse-prevention limits
    • Other Premium toolkit features as offered in-app
  • 30-day free trial available for eligible new subscribers
  • Subscription management uses RevenueCat and Apple / Google

2.2 Billing and Cancellation

  • Payment will be charged to your App Store/Google Play Account at confirmation of purchase
  • Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period
  • Your account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period
  • You can manage and cancel your subscription by going to your account settings in the App Store/Google Play Store
  • Premium access continues until the end of the paid period after cancellation
  • Any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited when purchasing a subscription
  • No refunds for partial subscription periods

3. User Eligibility and Account

3.1 Eligibility Requirements

  • You must be at least 13 years old to use CICO
  • If under 18, you need parent/guardian consent
  • You must provide accurate registration information
  • You are responsible for maintaining account security

3.2 Account Responsibilities

  • Keep login credentials confidential
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use
  • One account per person
  • Account sharing is prohibited

4. Acceptable Use Policy

4.1 Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any illegal purpose
  • Post inappropriate or offensive content
  • Harass or bully other users
  • Attempt to access other users' accounts
  • Reverse engineer or modify the App
  • Use automated systems to access the App
  • Abuse AI scanning systems or bypass usage limits
  • Automate or bulk scrape the service
  • Share accounts to bypass usage limits
  • Upload illegal, harmful, or irrelevant content to the meal scanner

5. User Content

5.1 Content Ownership

  • You retain rights to content you create
  • You grant us a licence to use your content for App functionality, including processing meal photos and calorie logs through our systems and AI providers as described in our Privacy Policy
  • You are responsible for your content

5.2 Content Guidelines

All content must:

  • Be appropriate for all ages
  • Respect others' privacy
  • Not violate any laws or rights
  • Not contain harmful code or malware

6. AI & Nutrition Disclaimer

  • AI meal scans are automated estimates generated from photos you provide
  • You should review and correct results before relying on them or saving them as calorie entries
  • AI-generated and user-entered nutrition information consists of estimates and is not medical advice
  • CICO is not a medical device
  • CICO does not provide medical or dietary advice
  • You are responsible for decisions relating to your diet and training

7. Intellectual Property Rights

  • The App and its content are protected by copyright and other laws
  • Our trademarks and branding may not be used without permission
  • You may not copy or distribute App content

8. Privacy and Data Protection

  • Our Privacy Policyexplains how we handle your data, including nutrition data, AI meal processing (Google Gemini via CICO's servers), advertising, attribution, and analytics partners (such as Meta, TikTok, Google AdMob, Firebase, Supabase, RevenueCat, and Google Analytics)
  • We comply with GDPR, CCPA, and other applicable laws
  • You have rights regarding your personal data

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. We do not guarantee:

  • Uninterrupted service
  • Error-free operation
  • Fitness results or weight-loss outcomes
  • Accuracy of all content, including AI meal estimates and user-entered nutrition information

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

  • We are not liable for any indirect damages
  • We are not responsible for fitness-related injuries
  • We are not responsible for dietary or nutrition decisions you make based on App content or AI estimates
  • Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the subscription

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account for:

  • Terms violation
  • Fraudulent activity
  • Abuse of AI scanning or other App systems
  • Extended inactivity
  • Non-payment

12. Changes to Terms

  • We may modify these terms at any time
  • Changes will be effective upon posting
  • Continued use constitutes acceptance
  • Major changes will be notified via email

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom, without regard to conflict of law principles.
